Nadia and Carol
Nadia Comaneci - (born on 12th November, 1961 Gheorghe Gheorghiu Dej (now Onesti, Romania), Romanian gymnast. The first person in history to earn a 10. competing in the Olympics. Comaneci was discovered by Bela Karolyi later the Romanian gymnastics instructor when she was only six years old. She first competed at the championships for juniors from Romania in 1969 she placed 13th. Then in the year 1970, she the Romanian gymnast won. She won three golds in her first competition, a junior pre-Olympic meet in 1972 that was held by communist countries. In 1973 and 1974, she became the junior champion in all-round competitions. In 1975 she was awarded 4 gold and 1 silver at her first senior international competition. Lyudmila Torishcheva was a five-time European Champion. She took home the American Cup in New York City in 1976 becoming the first female to do a backward double salto as an unmounting from uneven parallel bars. Carol Wayne.........................Carol Wayne was an American film and TV actor best recognized for portraying Art Fern's Tea-Time Movie Lady on The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson. When she was a teen Carol Wayne started working in the entertainment industry performing as figure skater. Together with her younger sister Nina Wayne she was part of a show that traveled called Ice Capades. Carol Marie Wayne, born in Chicago Illinois US on 6 September 1942. Carol started her professional career as an entertainer during her teenage years. Her career began with her joining Nina Wayne to perform in Ice Capades, a traveling spectacle of entertainment. The shows were the ice skating of which was performed to music from the stage.
